really ah, but their vested operation in sg have always seemed to be small and still just 1 ATM in sg? :ROFLMAO: (maybe save costs)
worse is their decade long online banking UI/UX, super old classic
They can’t penetrate the local market mah, probably why they reduce branch to just one.

My experience was damn smooth…
I only have cc account with them previously but since FD is 4.15%,
I open a fastsaver account, desposit $1k fast transfer, deposit 10k, open FD account, apply 10k option. All done within 30mins.

And the app is really upgraded vs the old clunky one.

Do we need to maintain $1k in the FastSaver when applying for FD?

Hi all, may I ask why no one at least within this thread has taken up the i version of the FD with upfront interest? I do see a slight negative difference in the upfront interest FD but basing on the time value of money is the difference significant? Thanks all.

there's probably a cap of waiting line (with the influx of fd withdrawal or new account etc) so whenever u call and there's no dial tone, just keep trying till u can select option and listen music :ROFLMAO:
I keep spamming calls for 5 mins until connected to their automated voice system, then wait a further half hour before connected to a human. Finally settled. Ok lah, still better than going to physical branch. Thanks for the advice.

Now overwhelming applications for 4.x % FD, few months later overwhelming cancellations because of 5.x % FD. Really is 害人不淺.

Maybe because more troublesome if early terminate FD giving upfront interest. My guess.

I've checked with CIMB. If terminate Why wait upfront interest FD, the bank will clawback the upfront interest from your principal then give you back the balance and you will get board rate interest for completion of every quarter.

Just placed a FD with CIMB. The CS said that FD start date is the date the FD money is transferred to Fastsaver, regardless when it is actually bring transferred from Fastsaver to FD account.
