Aug promo 3.5% for both new & existing customers. No cap limit. For existing, July is reference month.
For higher amount savings, must use Star saver account.
For 6 months, no lock in.

Thanks for the info. Just curious why you mention higher amt savings use Starsaver. I compare and see like no difference in total interest rate.

Did i miss anything ?

I think Fast saver & Star saver appears to be the same for this promo.

Really love CIMB. 😍 The only bank that treats existing customers better than new customers.

The tnc for new and existing customers is different.

New customer need to maintain or increase incremental compared to previous mth to get 3.5%.

Existing customers will get 3.5% for incremental compared to static 31 Jul balance.

Registering via their chat bot seems weird as it doesn't ask for any of your details for verification such as account number to confirm the specific account for participation. It is just a simple click of the "sign up now" button, that's it. Wonder how cimb will know the correct customer who sign up in this manner and which account you intend to fund for the promotion...hmm

Had the same qn, read the tnc can't see why since both also get 3.5%
the Prevailing Interest rate tiers for FSA & SSA are different so i believe that there is a difference when it comes to calculating & crediting the Prevailing Interest and subsequently the Bonus Interest although the total of PI + BI = 3.5% but i am not 100% sure here. waiting for better answer.
