IIRC, yes, you need to transfer in the initial deposit to activate. There is a time period for that.

None at all.

Only if your balance falls below 1k on any given day, no interest for that day

Visa and Mastercard from CIMB and Maybank function the same as Visa and Mastercard from the big three.

You can pay your CIMB card bills using internet banking if you have a CIMB account (eg. FastSaver or StarSaver).

You people are really a bunch of complainers.

CIMB offers the best no frills savings interest rate in Singapore. So what if the internet banking interface is 'low tech'? As long as have security functions such as OTP via device or sms is all I require.

At least it loads fast if using data or in places with slower internet speed. Better than those stupid fancy javascript intensive interface lah.

What matters is that it gets the job done can liao. Transfer S$50K by FAST to another bank account on 'low tech' interface makes any difference?

Wanted to use boc account for interest. but the internet banking was not so smooth. Install plug in then it always freezes my browser.

Used vanilla Firefox and it works fine. It does look a bit ugly when zoomed in (old eyes need bigger text).

google chrome works fine as well. dont use ie or edge. its just for downloading other browsers anyway.
