is FastSaver one of the higher interest savings (no frills) account?
my plan is to deposit an amount within 50k and do nothing.

i was looking at SCB eSaver, but the incremental balance needs 'extra work' every month to qualify for the bonus interest.

the only way to withdraw $ from this account without any fee is to transfer to some other account where I have ATM card?

How about Maxigain account? You need to wait a few months to see your interest rate steps up to a high of 1+%.

You can just deposit $50k and do nothing.

Some of us have 2 Esaver accounts to shuttle money around.

After doing a FAST, no sms or email notification to confirm account is successfully activated?

Or I just wait for the instructions for their internet banking?

May be they don't know what to say.

I waited for a few days for the token and activation mail to come in. Once those came in, I was able to log on and access it.

Reminder, don't throw the activation mail away! You'll need it to reset your internet banking password, should you forget it (that's the only way to reset, customer service can't do it for you). If you lose it and need to reset your password, you'll have to ask for a new activation code, and that'll take 5 working days.
