FYI for those who signed up for CIMB savings account promo and have an existing credit card with the bank (AKA those who qualify for 4% promo), the bonus interest will only be credited on the 25th of the month.

I have a CIMB CC but last month credited on 20th.. this month interest still not in for me, where to read on the 4%?

To qualify for this promo, you need to be an existing cimb cc member on or before 31 Aug, and open a new savings account from 1 Sep onwards. If you received interest on 20th Sep, then it's not a new savings account that is opened in Sep.

You need to have at least 1 of the following CIMB credit card before 31 Aug 2023:

and your FastSaver account must be opened during 1 Sep to 31 Dec
If you meet this 2 conditions then you are eligible for this promo and the bonus interest (need to have minimum 1k in your FastSaver acct on any day of the month) will be credited on the 25th of the following month.
The best way to find out is to call CIMB hotline to check. I called yesterday and confirmed I'm eligible for the 4% promo.

I thought it was for full month of Sep at 3.5% per annum but the interest credited to my account was like 3 to 4 times lesser

If you are eligible for the 3.5%, it will be credited on 30Sep as prevailing interest & credited on 20Oct as Bonus interest. Add these 2 amounts, and the total should be the 3.5%.
