I just looked at the pdf and understood that aside from incremental amount , to qualify for sept promo cannot "deposit" on same promo during june july august

I was june batch but did additional increase deposit in july .... means I need to merry go round longer outside for at least 2 months , rather than only 1 month I was expecting

You might have missed it as CIMB changed it sometime in June, but June batch is from June-Aug, so it's only 1 month wait outside.

c. Deposit a minimum incremental balance of S$5,000 in fresh funds in the Qualifying

i think next month 1 October to 31 October will still quote July ... which I did put in July in addition to what I put in June

If i whole lump sum only in june then only need to wait outside 1 month ..... I spread over 2 months of deposit means I need to wait outside 2 months

If you deposited at least $5k in June, then you are in June batch, and the period is Jun-Aug. Anything you deposit from Jun-Aug (above 5k) is entitled to bonus interest.

CIMB CSO said para 4d means customers on Jun-Jul-Aug batch NOT eligible for this Sep-Nov round.

Then I asked what if I only deposited funds in Jun but Jul Aug no incremental deposit, she said also not eligible.

So, is 3 months outside for me, then eligible to join new round.

if from jul to sep, also cannot join right?

CIMB plays smart with KEY word 'OR'.

I purposely asked that question to verify becasue I suspect not batch related. But CSO said Jun-Aug batch.

If batch related, CIMB can word Tnc this way " if the customer has already joined Jun-Aug Bonus Interest Promotion then he/she will not be eligible to register for this Sep-Nov Promotion."

If you got deposit funds min incremental bal 5K in Jul or Aug, think play safe call CIMB to check on personal eligibility for this round.

Update: Spoke to a 2nd CSO, he said as long as got deposit incemental bal 5K in any period stated in Para 4d, not eligible this round.

Bonus Interest/Profit (if any) will be accrued daily and credited into the Qualifying Account(s) on
2 September 2024 for June to July bonus interest/profit and on 30 September 2024 for August
bonus interest/profit.

Aug promo will be affected as the last month of this promo is in Oct 2024. But it is neutral. Overall you will still get 3.4% interest payments - but for Oct, less amount of base interest will be credited end of Oct 2024 and higher amount will be credited as BI a couple of months later. If you add up the 2 components, it will still be 3.4%.

Of course some fist tight forumers here not happy, die die money must be credited end of day of the month end

Maybe you didn't notice that current base interest is 3.5% for FastSaver 50-75k and StarSaver > 250k. The bonus interest is actually less than the base interest, so will earn less.

CIMB based interest is tiered. the EIR % for base interest is lower than the headline 3.5%. Now promo they give you addiotional up to 3.4% for Aug promo.

By participating in the promo, you get less interest than not participating, does it make sense?
