The email asking me to make an appointment was from: sgb.newaccount@cimb.com
The email acknowledging my interview date and time was from: noreply=cimb.com.sg@mg.pand.ai

Did you get that second email address too? Looks dodgy.

Seems to be a legitimate site for Chat Agent used by FIs in Singpaore as part of IMDA initiative.

Regardless, call CIMB to confirm if required. Also, it's safe to use it to schedule an appointment if you do not reply any sensitive documents to the reply to email.

the email asking me to make interview is from sgb.newaccount@cimb.com. the email acknowledge my interview appointment is from EVA noreply@cimb.com.sg. it says in the email the details will be provided 24 hour before the appointment time. It also asks me to prepare IC/passport and staff pass/name card with company logo.

When you open the account did you put $1K or other amounts?

i just put $1K first. When the account got created 3 days later, I put in the rest ($99K). No questions were asked via this method (but I lost 3 days of higher interest).

guys, fastest way is to go to the bank at raffles place and activate/verify your account on the spot.

I can see everything set up as FastSaver in the apps. Also I have already started using its credit card.

And thanks to you royalmix, because now i can see that my GIRO from BOC is tagged as GIRO - IBG (which means that 0.5% for the $25K is accepted)!

Test a small withdrawal, ie FAST OUT, if it works, you are the exception!

why did you lose 3 days of interest? I was told by the hotline customer service that the interest is calculated on the day I deposit my money. I deposited money on 2 Jan, but still my application is not 'finalized' yet till now. are you saying that the interest won't be calculated from 2 Jan?

I put in $1k to get the processing done. 3 days later when the account was up. I put in the rest

Shitty, off a call to the bank: I do need to make an appointment for zoom via its email instructions or go to its branch otherwise the account is not activated. However the interest already started from the day the money was deposited.
