Can share how long the procedure took effect for deduction, how many days ?

Dont do DBS SI if u can. I transferred money on 9th Jan (thursday). Set up for earliest 12 Jan Sat that SI in DBS can permit.
Just called DBS, the money stilll not be seen - am told it is 3 working days (coming wed ?).
Whereas Bank of China, SI via giro done on Sat, money in CIMB on Monday.

no. But from what royalmix is saying of its tnc, merry go round gaming between them is not valid. try merry go round with DBS when you have $350K (they have good Structured Deposit products).

What's the hurry? Any day in Jan is fine to earn the 0.5%

Don't think it's correct. You set up future dated SI, the day the funds disappear from your account, that evening would appear on CIMB side.

Don't understand your concerns with this bank. Did you read the T&Cs when setting up SI with this bank? It is stated very clearly that if your FIRST deduction falls on weekend or PH, the deduction will be next business day (Mon to Fri). And usually there are ~ 22 weekdays (Mon to Fri) to select in a month . If you setup correctly debit and credit is on the same day.

this post states that si takes time to be approved, so the $1k kinda stuck at the lower yield acct lor.

the CIMB CSO told me if it is captured as scheduled FAST transfer instead of Standing Instruction, their system will not recognise it,
