Thanks, @Squaredot.

I have set up the SI with DBS to credit to my FastSaver and the earliest date is 28 Feb 2025.

If the $1,000 appears in my FastSaver on 28 Feb 2025, I think rather than GIRO, it would have been transferred via FAST. Let’s hope CIMB will still consider it as an eligible transaction since unlike other banks like HSBC there is no option to select GIRO when setting up SI on DBS iBanking.

So now I just need to ensure the funds are in my DBS account on 28 Feb 2025 for the SI to take place? There is no need to bring the funds in earlier?

Thanks.
I always have funds in my POSB account so I may not be the best person to answer your question. But I think you fund your DBS by 28 Feb 2025 midnight 0:00 as we don't know what time the debit will take place on that day.

I believe SI is not a FAST transaction. The transaction code shown in CIMB is SI, not FAST. I also recall some bros feedback their $1000 is not credited immediately after money deducted from their DBS/POSB account. Personally I haven't observed that, when I remember to check my CIMB, the $1000 is already inside my Fastsaver 🤣 I can't tell if there is a time lag as I didn't monitor what time my money is debited.
I received 0.5% interest on 31Jan for SI credited in Dec.

Hope all works well for u on 28 Feb :s12:

Thanks @Squaredot.

If it is not FAST then the SI debited from DBS will appear in CIMB FastSaver earliest the next day March 1 in which case I will not be eligible to earn the 0.5% bonus interest for Feb.

I think the reason why you received 0.5% interest on 31 Jan for SI credited in Dec is because your SI probably took place earlier than 31 Dec 2024, latest 30 Dec 2024?

Thanks.

Yes, mine is done for Dec, Jan and Feb. So far the amount debited from my POSB was credited to Fastsaver on the same day.
So no harm trying, I hope it works for u too.

Yours was debited and credited on the same day? Excellent! I can now hope that mine will also be debited and credited on the same day. Thanks, @Squaredot :)

For SI I believe there will be a time lag. I am thinking to myself that those that FAST with "SI-CIMB" do they get the additional interest too? After seeing the criteria to get the payday promo seems to be quite lax lol

I had standing instruction of 1k in Sep 2024 with description SI SI.

I changed the standing instructions to transfer 1k from Oct 2024 with the description SI CIMB.

CSO was unsure whether I was eligible for the $150 promotion and said will get the relevant department to get back to me.
Got my $150 today, 2 days after calling in.
