I always have funds in my POSB account so I may not be the best person to answer your question. But I think you fund your DBS by 28 Feb 2025 midnight 0:00 as we don't know what time the debit will take place on that day. Thanks, @Squaredot.
I have set up the SI with DBS to credit to my FastSaver and the earliest date is 28 Feb 2025.
If the $1,000 appears in my FastSaver on 28 Feb 2025, I think rather than GIRO, it would have been transferred via FAST. Let’s hope CIMB will still consider it as an eligible transaction since unlike other banks like HSBC there is no option to select GIRO when setting up SI on DBS iBanking.
So now I just need to ensure the funds are in my DBS account on 28 Feb 2025 for the SI to take place? There is no need to bring the funds in earlier?
Thanks.
I believe SI is not a FAST transaction. The transaction code shown in CIMB is SI, not FAST. I also recall some bros feedback their $1000 is not credited immediately after money deducted from their DBS/POSB account. Personally I haven't observed that, when I remember to check my CIMB, the $1000 is already inside my Fastsaver
I received 0.5% interest on 31Jan for SI credited in Dec.
Hope all works well for u on 28 Feb
