Impressed by CIMB hotline for banking. They don't make you press a lot of buttons. Pick up is fast and staff knows their products.

Anyone park more than 75k in CIMB? Is it very risky to put more than the protected amount?

MayBank more stable?

More accessible, more branches in SG, good FD rates & not bad saving accounts as well.

But of course, no one can predict if these banks will be Lehman brothers anot. :o

But for safety wise, I rate Maybank way above CIMB. That is just me though.

I'm not so much worry cimb going to collaspe soon.

I'm much worry on dropping interest rate.

But do take note when there are rumours on cimb, cause no wind won't create seawave. And that's take time to brew then.

But then MAS is now closely monitor all banks in Singapore in this critical times. MAS will act first if that arise.

Cause any bank collapsed, will bring reputation damage to Singapore financial system.

Spread the risk in this situation makes more sense. Though the rate might be good..you will never earn that kind of monies just on interest.

Again it depends on your risk appetite

HL iSaving is the next best inline but the min is 5k

Now transfer in still can get interest right?

Yes can :) CIMB Fastsaver TOC: "Interest accrued daily and credited monthly. Daily interest will be paid on the entire daily balance, provided that the balance is at least S$1,000 in your CIMB FastSaver account on any given day."

Agree too. Called them once for the e-token issue. Impressed me on how steady that female officer giving advice.
