Anyone park more than 75k in CIMB? Is it very risky to put more than the protected amount?

I've deposited much more than 75k and I'm comfortable with it for now as long as they at least maintain the same operating size in Singapore due to MAS banking regulations, capital requirements and compliance process.:)

Their Octopus app is also steady and easy to use. As compared to singlife app. Their withdrawal limit is 50k per day. Singlife is only 20k per day.

Just now i tranfer funds into singlife. It took 10 mins to show up. Give me a scare.

Honestly compared to singlife i prefer cimb stability.

Compared to Maybank of course maybank seems to me more stable.

Based on CET1 ratio, MBB has more head room than CIMB and presumably can take more knocks. Anw, both banks CET1 ratio is way about the 9% MAS requirement. :)

No chance to do DD on Singlife yet. :s11:

More accessible, more branches in SG, good FD rates & not bad saving accounts as well.

But of course, no one can predict if these banks will be Lehman brothers anot. :o

But for safety wise, I rate Maybank way above CIMB. That is just me though.

Lehman brothers was predominantly investment bank with too much leverage; different from CIMB and MBB. Having said this, it is always a good prudent practice to keep track of their financial performance including balance sheet and cashflow when they announced their quarterly earnings.;)

CIMB does not have a daily transfer limit but have a S$50k limit per transfer. I have done more than 50k transfer on the same day without any issues. I’m not sure why everyone is saying that they have a daily transfer limit.

The other day I tried but cannot

Only allow max 50k out / day

Let's say I try more than 50k it will show exceed limit

Oh u are talking about transferring in from other banks?

We are talking about transferring OUT of CIMB

I have no issue fasting in.

But when want to transfer OUT, the system will add up multiple transaction and put a stop at 50k

Based on my previous transfer and confirmed by CSO, the daily limit for FAST transaction is $50k. Is your more than $50k daily FAST transactions?:s11:
