Ask her for a black and white email. Last time RHB same the CS give conflicting info and some are wrong

CIMB cust servc told be a very unexpected thing, they said this CIMB 3.5% existing a/c will compare with end July balance right?

but they said must have min $1000 as of 31 July, only than existing users will qualify for 3.5% Aug onwards.

Unlike many of us thought $0 balance in July is ok. Better if you guys can confirm also before hold any balance with cimb to avail this promo.

Think that's not correct information, can try ask again the tnc quite clear it's based on end of day balance of 31 July used for comparison

End of 31 Jul if I have 10k in fastsaver
1 Aug transferred the 10k to GXS

Then 17 Aug transfer this 10k back to CIMB

Will not earn the 3.5% I reckon?

Nope would not since no incemental balance in the example you shared.

my understanding from cimb CS is that if July account is zero. I need to top up min 1k from August onwards to enjoy 1.5%+2% = 3.5%

Tell them to put it in writing e.g. email. Once there's B&W they will be very cautious about what they represent.
