Didn’t apply for preferred but got sent a marketing email on some Allan Wu webinar nonsense.

how do I check if I am officially preferred and no longer entitled to preferred sign up goodies?

Submitted my application in Sept, deposited money in Sept.
Yesterday , I received an SMS asking for my I.c.
Why they opened an account for me more than a week ago, but only now ask for I c ?
And IIRC, I used Singpass to apply for the account ... but they don't have my I c ?

What I was told was that if ur account has $250K and more, u will be upgraded to preferred. There won’t be any indication in the mobile app or IB though.
The current promo for preferred requires u to maintain the acct with $250k and more for six months and the goodies will be credited on the seventh month.

The account got the English word called Preferred Account and I think it is the Current Account and it also is in this promo casa I shared earlier in this thread. But if ppl scared as TnC no put the English word Preferred Account then can avoid.

Don't feel like calling them cos sure need to put on hold for very long. i no time to do it.

Actually now near end of year and if you need to clear annual leave why not take 1 day go down to their branch to settle it once and for all? I did that for BOC after I kena so long open account with ICBC.

wah no need lah, just a 1k transaction nia not say 10k 20k.
others here have mentioned it's due to overwhelming applications so could take more than 5 days, so just wait lor.
won't purposely make a trip down, sibeh waste time.

You waiting for the SMS ? So was I. Their CSO told me everything OK, just wait for the SMS . That was last week.

me same, used singpass to apply. like that still ask for pple's IC for what sia.

Perhaps there's an extra layer of security on their end to verify the physical nric ontop of singpass as there are a lot of scam cases as well as people selling their singpass info and turning them into money mules

Mine yesterday was 5th business day after my $1000 deposit ( 28th Sept at night ). Called them the next day to check whether they had received the money . The CSO replied Yes, and to wait up to 5 business days for the SMS

yeah i read, hmm then i not sure liao, i applied my account years back... where cimb not so popular, quite instant during back then
