this promo quite confusing, different cso tells me different things.

CSO1 told me can treat this like FD, the same amount placed during the 3 months can earn the bonus interest.
Example, this month I placed Fresh $30K, and i just keep the same $30K until 31 Oct, these 3 months can get bonus interest. The amount is $0 for 31 July Comparison Month.

CSO2 told me fresh funds valid only for the respective month, cannot rollover.
Using the same example as above, the $30K will only earn bonus interest for August, if i keep the same amount, Sep and Oct will not earn bonus interest. I need to deposit New Fresh Funds to earn bonus interest for the respective month.

I think your CSO2 is completely wrong. The tnc clearly states it’s against Jul ADB.

normally for DBS if the CSO product knowledge is poor i will request that the product manager call me. i don't know if it's possible for CIMB.

hmm .. i doubt it was the Product Manager who would call back after escalation

probably a more senior CSO who has more access or resources to verify

yes, if that time participate in june for 3.5% it will still be 3.5% till sep

My understanding is only the 5k minimum incremental needs to be maintained, so we can use the account like a normal savings account, not FD. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Assuming you have ZERO in your account on 31st July 2024
Yes.
Promo period is from 1st till 31st Aug. the 5K determines if your account has joined the promo or not and the batch that it joins in. Just deposit in early.

This is actually rather uncommon for CIMB, most of the time it'll be in like with the tnc, just in 2 batches one for the usual interest, then the top up amount to the promo rate.

i opened the fastsaver account recently and wish to transfer money from fastsaver to cimb fixed deposit account. Tried use the app to deposit money into the fixed deposit account but get the error msg. Account invalid.

Called up the Cso and their answer are fastsaver account still not activated yet. Need to wait.

But my fastsaver account has been opened for 1week +. Wonder how long its will take to approve

need to use whatsapp to robotically book appointment date .... 1 day before they email you the MS Teams room number and whatsapp you the passcode
then you video chat with the staff for a few minutes ... he say subject to approval , no guarantee pass .... quickest is around next business day

the appointment date earliest slot is very far .... like 3 weeks

to skip these must go physical branch
