Not sure if I missed qualifying or what but it's 1 May and I didn't get any bonus interest. This is the history of my deposits.

31 Jan deposited $5k to become eligible
1 Feb Deposited $200k
2 Feb Deposited $200k
7 Feb Deposited $80k
11 Feb Deposited $6k
End-feb $486 interest
17 Mar Deposited $17.5k
End-Mar $566 interest
1 April transferred everything out
End-Apr $28 interest

So yesterday I only got $28. No bonus interest at all this year
Since you seem to know your stuff, I could only suggest you to contact CIMB support

Additionally I have 2 questions, which may help your case if you do contact them

1) Did that account participate in the Nov 2024 and December 2024 promo?

2) did the 5k, assuming you understood it as increment, came from outside of CIMB? As it needs to be fresh funds to be eligible

no deposit in Nov and Dec 2024 and yes the 5k was from another bank. I called them today, and after a long time on hold for them to check, they said they can only reply next week.

Received a callback from CIMB today and was told my account "participated in preferred banking promotion" that's why never receive interest. I wasn't even aware of it. With CIMB accounts, may have triggered different promotions without being aware as it is deposit dependent. Anyway I request for appeal as I wasn't aware and not sure if I qualified for it since need to maintain funds for >6m to get the $800 gift.

Then maybe you might have to give up the welcome gift to get the interest if it's a case of one or the other?

they didn't return my call from last week so I called again today and they told me my incremental deposit was $1 short to qualify!
I asked if I can appeal and they sounded very apprehensive. buy I just asked nicely if they can try to help and they said no guarantees. we'll see how it goes. it's a lot of interest lost if that's the case.

Does CIMB FastSaver consider the previous month's average daily balance (ADB)?
Assuming I deposited $75K in April and received the interest on 1 May, if I withdraw all the interest on 1 May and keep the $75K in the account, can I still earn the 1.99% interest until end of May?

Base interest calculated daily and given monthly, with no consideration to previous month.

Yes. Though with 1.99%, getting that ~120 per month and transferring out every month, i personally find it a chore.
0.8% for the sum above 75K vs 2.X% else where for that 120+ ain't much.
