I would have to port out and back in, in order to get this promo right?
I am doing something similar.

Ported out my legacy 50GB Circles Life CIS Plan to eight $8 plan with additional 88 Days of Free Service.
Sign up new Circles Life SIM using the Promo code that you wish to use.
Then port back to Circles Life later after 88 days of free service.

This way I can switch plan while reducing the total subscription cost.

Eight and SIMBA also allow, but there will be extra charges.

eight:
A fee of $20 is chargeable if port out happens within 30 days of SIM activation

Edit -- no more as per latest CIS.

SIMBA:

Is there a time frame which you need to port in within a few months?

You will be using 2 lines (Eight and CL) right?

For Circles Life promo code that does not includes the "$0 New Number fee" add-on, you need to port in to Circles Life within 30 days to be eligible for the $10 Lifelong Port-in discount.

Newer promo code that include "$0 New Number fee" doesn't allow the $10 Lifelong Port-in discount to be stacked.

Using this promo code as an example: PRT1TB650CAIU5YFO2G
You are not eligible for the $10 Lifelong Port in discount. So don't need to rush to port in.

If you are using the "SUPER38" promo code, you need to port in within 30 days to get the $10 Lifelong Port in discount.

For your 2nd question, yes will have 2 number during the interim period (Eight + CL). Since Eight Mobile is free for 88 days, it won't cost extra expenses to delay the extra number.

Since Eight Mobile is offering the 88 Days Free Day Service if you sign up and Port-in by 28 Dec 2025, you can sign up a new number with CL, upon receiving the new CL sim, schedule a port-in about 80 days later. You should give a buffer of about 1 week when porting your number just in case it takes slightly a longer time.

If you do not want to hold 2 numbers during the long interim period, only sign up for a new CL number about 80 days later, but the risk is that the CL promo may get expired.

Note that Circles does not allow you to port out and port in within the same month yea. Have experienced it before 2 years ago.

It seems to me this limit is not that clear.

Strange thing is that completion of the port out is tied to the end of month.

https://circlesasiasupport.zendesk....785689-How-to-port-out-my-Circles-Life-number
  1. Confirmation of Port-Out
Once your port-out request is successfully processed, you will receive an email confirmation. Your account will be terminated at the end of the month, in line with the port-out.

Even though the email says 100GB, the app does show 250 GB.

But no difference to me between 500 GB and 750 GB...
Indeed, anything more than 300GB is considered overkilled (unless it is used for fibre bb replacement purpose) yet telcos kept throwing in more data, another no. game. 😅

Hi ignore!

Looks like you had one too many cat videos! Because you’ve hit our Fair Usage Policy at 1019.0 GB, we’ll need to manage your data speeds for your number 88888888, so that others can still enjoy their data.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to get back to you 4G+ speeds even if you added Boost or Add-on. Don’t worry though, your data speeds will go back to 4G+ when the next month comes around!

Your Customer Happiness Experts

(speed is still normal)
how you manage to hit 1 TB usage in a month? :s22:

my home fibre connection can't even reach that with 4 users on PC & laptops

Just no worries on upper limit i suppose. Last time I remember when data was meagre. Had to calculate and ration. 😂
