Probably not worth the S$2 differences now.

Previously the S$8 5G plan had 8GB Roaming data but no more now.

You are talking about eight S$5 Senior 4G Plan with one for one top-up offer then.

If you have only one line then I tend to think eight 4G plan is still not very good as it is really not good for local usage (as bad as SIMBA), no matter how cheap. That is just my personal opinion though based on my own testing.

But if you have other lines for better local usage, then this eight 4G plan can be a good one especially with the free roaming voice.

If no need roaming voice, I tend to think SingTel Gomo S$6 5G Senior plan and Singtel hi! S$7 Senior plan are better for Seniors. They have roaming data bundles but no support of roaming voice.

Many eight S$8 4G plan users have one for one top up offer, so the effective price is only at S$4 per month.

If not, I tend to think many eight S$8 4G plan users will move out due to heavy congestion.

I keep one eight S$8 line just for roaming usage because of S$88 one for one top-up offer (22 month total, still got 14 months to go).

Easier to bookmark the following thread. You only need to read the first page and then last two pages.

Post #2 got the 5G CL Plan Promotion Codes, including the S$6 and S$8 5G CL plan. They have been shared for a few months already.

Post #3 got 4G CL Promotion Codes (not fully updated) but probably no point to go with 4G CL plans.

You are talking about eight S$5 Senior 4G Plan with one for one top-up offer then.

Thanks didn't know about gomo $6 5G plan, easier for moi cuz no need hunt for promo code like CL too. Maybe after credit finish will jump to gomo.

not a fan of their secureme BS. Consumers should be able to port over without being "convinced" to stay.
and we don't need to talk about their lack of data roaming.... but their customer service is the best among all

I ported out of the $8 Eight plan because the reception got so horrible, I was missing calls from clients and stakeholders.

I think you mean congestion, presumably for "over the top" calls (WhatsApp for example) that use ordinary mobile data. StarHub's 4G network in Singapore has very good coverage (reception). Traditional voice call completion rates should be quite high since VoLTE is prioritized.

In my line of work, I conduct a lot of home visits. I mean reception. Discovered some residential areas had 1 bar coverage on a relatively new iPhone 15, so was surprised to encounter that. And it was not one off - it was observed over a few weeks.

And I mean voice calls direct to the mobile number. Not OTT calls.

I tolerated the worsening deprioritisation for as long as I could as I still had credits remaining. But it became evident I had to port out when I missed some crisis calls. As a control, it's the same phone, no concerns on CL 5G.

That's true. But I did state I was comparing the price point - $8.

As circleslife is offering $61 cashback with spend now. But the T&Cs are very vague it almost feels like there is a catch somewhere

Am not sure if relevant, but my plan is on the Zerofy wallet. They don't allow switching from wallet to credit card, so it is a little inconvenient having to top up the wallet.

Also, retailers that do CL wallets are not that easy to find.

Yes, this was a pain if one were to utilise any wallet option other than CC. Damn troublesome to go top up and use.
