What is the normal download speed for CL in West area Jurong East and Bukit Batok?
M1 about max 20mbp
Grid about max 40 mbp
Both using same phone

Same as M1. High data but low speed.. so you can use forever... Cannot do streaming... Watch Facebook and YouTube not an issue.

Sometimes I watch YouTube short videos and listen to some songs on YouTube and I use 1080p for the video quality because got lots of data mah.

Yesterday I listen to song under the 2nd best quality they have 720p for 30 minutes before I sleep to use up some data.

Have decided to ditch circle life and switch to giga pop up $18 plan. This morning put in my spare 6gb giga sim card together with circle life SIM card. From morning 9.00am to 15.00pm take mrt and bus go to a few 5-6 places to test the signal and found out that giga signal network fare better than circle life signal network.

I will use circle life until between 20-30 Jan 2021 after that will port in to giga and is bye bye to circle life.

found this thread while googling the giga promotion that is ending on 22 dec... gonna jump ship to giga next week

9 bucks for 50gb for the first month and subsequent will be $18 monthly... this make my base plan @$28 look so ex... but i do enjoy the daily poll game by CL...

If your number is a ported in number, maybe you can ask CL if it is possible to grant you the $10/month discount permanently. Many customers that are having that $10/mth discount have received the email recently, telling them their 12 months discount period has been upgraded to permanent waiver.

If your $28 is because it's not ported in number, it maybe harder to negotiate with CL, but as a form of customer retention, they can still give some discount.

Cannot tahan the 100 mins in and outgoing talk time for CL

My unlimited add on ends 31 Jan

Will be paying 18 for 20gb, 100 min talk time and 25 Sms

Doesn’t sound attractive in my opinion compared to giga and gomo, MyRepublic etc

I should say quite achievable; in Nov I was burning 5GB per working day, mostly with Zoom meetings. Thank god it's stopped now.

So if some guy just turn on Youtube or Zoom 12 hrs per day...

I just noticed as CL backend provider M1 just updated their SIM only price plans with sizeable and becomes more expensive than last time promo. Seems like other main telcos will follow similar and MVNOs are most economicals. Hopefully they don't control to differentiate in speeds....

For circles line, is there a minimum period you need to be with them?

I am thinking of switching to circle life.
I am currently with Singtel under a corporate plan. But it’s so troublesome to port out as the line is currently under my company instead of individual name.

My singtel corporate helpdesk tells me circle life is easiest to switch to
So I am planning to switch to circle life first, and maybe see any new better deals in jan or cny.
