Just went to circle life website and try.

It seems e-SIM do not allow you to choose any other plan. It will go straight to 20GB/month plan @ $18/month as base with various optional upsize options.

Circles cis is even more insane, unlimited calls/data and free caller ID for only 18 bucks.
Yup, they had unlimited calls which is good for business people who are calling often. Circles CIS still have only 25 SMS free.

M1 on the other hand at just $2 more, you get 1000 mins talktime, 1000 SMS, free caller ID and unlimited Spotify streaming.

Termination of your existing line will be performed by the new telco that you are porting over. No action required from your end.

My SIM card was activated on the 16th and number transfer done on 24th. Also just got my first bill and both Jul and Aug I was charged $18.

Of course Jul was pro rated.....

I was told the $10 discount will only come after the number transfer was done successfully.

no. discount should be reflected on 1st bill already. of course 1st bill will be pro-rated though.

Yes i have mentioned about it in one of my posts, sadly, 1st month always $28 (i think they need to wait till you confirm on the portover). The webchat CSO mentioned this to me prior to sign up. Following month then your first $18 come in. :)

Talked to CSO... first bill consists of pro-rated first month, and the month thereafter. $10 discount is only applied PER BILL, which means to say that the pro-rated first month will be charged at the rate of $28/month.

Really misleading, how can they expect people to know this. The standard for telcos is 1 bill = 1 month of service. Plus this is not known until AFTER you make payment. Unlucky for me, my line was activated on the first day of the month. Had it been a day earlier I wouldn't have to deal with this nonsense.

I don't know if they already changed how they do it, but when I ported in starting 27 May, my first bill was for prorated May + full June, but I got the port in discount for both May and June. So I got the $20 deduction in the first bill. Maybe you can insist and say you have a friend who was billed like this.

Totally not a good way to start a relationship. Their new customers will feel cheated if they do this way.

Yup, they changed this up recently. Which is why I was so surprised when I got the bill because they had applied $10 rebate per month based on previous experience.

In the meantime I suggest anyone switching to Circles to activate the plan on the last day of the month. Stupid move by Circles
