Milelon confirmed that Citipayall transactions is counted for minimum spend for signup rewards etc, it just doesnt earn miles/cashback.

Also Citi cashback credit card requires $800 minimum spend if you want to earn 8% cashback for groceries and dining. This makes payall+Citibank cashback card as very good use case :)

can i re-phrase? u mean no-fee citipayall cannot earn miles/cashback?

from what i understand 2% fee citipayall is eligible for cashback+ 1.6% and also miles

If you pay an allowance to your spouse or parents, technically that also can qualify as payment towards goods and service right? I actually pay a monthly allowance to my wife. It is a small amount, I just want to try it out using Payall just to see how the transaction appears on my wife's bank account and when exactly it hits the account. I just dont want to surprise my landlord with delayed rent payments.

Yes I called the school. They gave their bank account + reference number.

I have a question; if the payment date we schedule falls on a weekend, then when the the recipient actually get the funds in their account? Is it on like the day before the weekend or the day after the weekend? I believe payments don't happen on weekend.

After weekend. I did this before and the payment went through on Monday.

I am not sure whats happening but looks like Citi is clamping things down.
I was under the impression that I could pay for condo rentals via payall. The setup did not go through and I called up to ask about it.
Turns out that they expect the rentals to land on a list of verified corporate account. Given that most rentals are between individuals for consumer, I am disappointed :(

It is mainly to prevent complication on AML rules. If everyone uses payall to move funds between individuals which typically are not subject to as thorough KYC requirements, it could be used as a conduit to move funds around that would fly under the radar.

Huh? I am renting a HDB and my landlord has a normal POSB savings account. So are you saying the payment will fail? The setup was successful, the payment date is 24th, so when will I know about the success or failure?

I did a small payment of $300 to my wife's DBS account under maintenance fee and it went through. I actually pay her an allowance of $300 every month, so I just decided to do it via Citi payall and it was successful. This was very recent(2nd of March)

😂 thanks for helping to confirm, maybe I'll try it again too then. Was using it to pay to a UEN but small business and it was rejected.

my physical card not arrived yet though so I’m going to try again after it’s activation.

digital card payment for other stuff was fine.

I know this is definitely an issue. I was willing to supply Tenancy Agreements and other documents necessary but did not even get an offer for that.

As all Citi PayAll payment transactions will not be processed via any of the card associations (for example, Mastercard® or Visa), the chargeback dispute resolution process of the card associations will not be available to you and accordingly, you will not be able to raise a chargeback dispute in respect of any payment transaction. All claims and disputes against a payee should be pursued directly with the applicable payee.

Honestly I don't think paying maintenance fee to your own spouse or recipients who have not provided you any goods or services (unless expressly allowed by CITI).

Better read clause 10 https://www.citibank.com.sg/credit-...ibank-payall-service-terms-and-conditions.pdf

It is not they allow just the system still not flawless to negate all possible use cases.

Their main concern is people churning their credit limit for cash advance. I think they can easily see who is churning and who is not. I am going to pay monthly $300 to my wife and $2300 as rent to my landlord, not churn my entire credit limit.
