I encountered a case of an elderly woman who couldn’t find her son so asked me to help call the son on the phone. She doesn’t carry a handphone but has a phone book. I used my phone to call the son

So how? If the son refuses to pick up my phone cos it’s an unknown number?

True story btw
Yes if it's me I won't pick up. The person can drop me a message with photo of my mom or drop her off a mata station for moi to pick her up. If it's too troublesome, can send to the mrt station stuff to wait for pick up.

People who approved her PR should also be put into review

Hard Truths!

Actually everytime a PR commit a crime , the approving officer at ICA should be brought before a tribunal to justify why they give PR and provide the due diligince they did on the applicant.

Yes, you can be a PR, can be a dishonest crook. New citizens can "smoke" their way through the whole process of being a new citizen.

Oh my, she's actually that pretty ah?

Hmm, I'm having second thoughts now. Guys, I think we might have too hastily judged her. Even though she has been found guilty, there's a very real chance that it could all just have been a misunderstanding. She even lost 10k of her own money and could be suffering greatly right now!

:(
It's 100k. Pain!

Must ask 3tombfollow, if sg will collapse with such foreigners or not.

This one maybe tip of the iceberg.

Wonder what kind of training the bank provides for staff on customer data security abd breaches of personal info. This kind of offence must be severely punished.

I think even without training, anyone with common sense would know to ask their supervisor first before acting on something like that.
