i still remember my first 2nd hand car was a toyota starlet... reliable as it is, it was a 10 year old COE car and i spend close to $14k on repairs and replacement parts...

ofcourse the repairs and replacement cost is much lower (if u do in JB even lower).... one must be reminded that the more expensive 2nd hand car you purchase e.g. BMW Mercs MINI Audi all have very expensive parts replacement and repairs...

Diagnostics on those cars can easily cost up to $1k even before you start repairing.....

i was referring to the part that u claimed "after July LTA will reduce the COE quota to May's level" n u said it was mentioned by LTA.
so i said LTA where got say after Jul, the coe quota will drop. did LTA?

if dereg in Jun is abt the same as Apr n May, then the COE quota for Aug-Oct shall be:
Cat A: up 13%
Cat B: up 3%
Cat D: down 13% for bike!!
Open Cat: zero growth

This means coe may drop further ah..sorry man I new to all these coe shiit

The more mechanical car comes much cheaper in repair... usually. When electronics are involved, its usually quite ex. Thus so with alot of modern cars. And electronics tend not to last long. Think more so in local weather.

no, the 13% drop is already considered the 15% contribution to Cat E.
these r only estimation, it could b less than 13% if dereg for Jun is higher than Apr/May.

when i bought that 2nd hand car, new cars like Toyota Corona is priced ard $120 - $130k and back then if u earn a salary of ard $3k is like $6k now....

I think the deregister in june is higher than april.
There is a high chance the quota will imcrease more!
