COE will be hard to get lower. The reason is that the buds are put in by the sellers not the buyers. These car sellers don't really make that much commission just from selling car alone. Normally it is the loan from banks that gives these sellers large commission. So it is in their interest for COE to go high hence a bigger loan. Bigger loans mean bigger commission. Maybe LTA should put something in place to stop this.

agree with you. buyers could bid for their own COE, but then you'll have to pay cash upfront. Buying through car dealers allow you to take loan, including COE cost.
