Not every one bough car is on forum. The model is currently on heavy booking. Was told about 80 cars will be deliver by next week. Another 300 people still waiting for COE. The more booking on one model. The higher the chance COE will remain stable.

Not to forget our COE system is not base on the highest bid.

Dont forget the simple fact of the more total bookings across all cat A, the higher the chance of higher coe. That one model has to dominate big to have the effect you are saying. Cerato having a price war with avante too.

What i think is the show has negligible impact. It mostly depends on coe result on 9 jan.

That's right. Was told initially they paln to launch and collect at Santosa. But due to logistics issue, it has been cancel and doing some other plan.

Is not because of show. Its because the coe rose 3k in the round before the show, hence less buyers. Its not about the show, its about the price

I happen to look for a new car during that time. And salesman tell me all the story as many buyer walk in to complaint. A different of 3k drop just after a so call offer in car show. Heart pain!
In any case, buying car is always a gamble due to variable of COE. Also many may have notice dropping of 5K in COE does not means car price also reduced by 5K.

Same guess for me too. As there will be few new models, facelite etc. But that does not means COE will raised.

COE price and final car price remained as a secret fomular from individual dealer. If you monitor COE bidding closely, you will notice the bidding price always raise in last few minutes before bidding closed.

If you monitor closely. 2018 car show and 1 show after that happen the same way.

As always. The best combination is you buy at low price but with a high COE. As COE is cash. Once you get it. COE basically depreciate by days from winning bid.

I predict slight increase to 26k due to 3 weeks. But most car prices to remain.

If you visit car dealer recently. You will find most of them remain same selling price as previous as you notice. However some has reduced the minimum COE rebate.

How the dealers formulate and determine the sum of amount for coe rebate?
I saw
KM 22k
BM 17k - top up 2 k
KMC 18k

Why KM give 22k? They are so confident that COE stays above 22k?
