Those who go with Hyundai blast round will be good new as KMC started with car price separated from COE last round. Buyer decide which COE $ they want to go in. This make car price totally transparent to buyer.

my COE expired Feb 2020. so will this drop in Cat A affect any more drop in the PQP in the coming months?

So June PQP is the average coe of March, April & May 2019?

btw how do i go about renewing my COE? can i do it online?

Jun PQP definitely higher. This drop will affect but if next few rounds are higher then overall still higher, negligible effect. If consistently back to 25k to 27k then will be lower

assuming you paid 20k in feb 2010 for your current car

the value of your coe right now is around 1.5k for another 9 months before feb 2020 expiry

if you renew today. you pay 27866 for another 10 years or 13933 for 5. and forfeit your 9 months. Means coe start tomorrow last 10 or 5 years depending on what u buy.

if u wait till june then buy. pqp will be 29838(10 years) or 14919(5 years)

i think it depends on whether u want to renew 5 or 10 years. if you want to risk and wait for the next month coe bidding exercise and see if the price increases or not. If increase alot then just renew next month. Worst case u lugi 2k if u renew 10 years.

that being said. if coe continues to go down. It might be better getting a new car instead of renewing your current car because PQP will most likely range around the 30k mark due to the april 33k 37k coe at least for the next 3 months
