go to bios...change to default setting.

make sure...it is using onboard VGA on bios.. ( to check your vga card lorry not)

Try to power cycle your monitor screen. remove all cables from monitor..press and hold the power button for 10sec.. wait other 10sec and plug in again.

remember to choose the HTMI or DVI button on the monitor. :D

remove the graphic card. reset the bios by shorting the reset pin or remove the cmos battery and put it back. then connect the monitor using the vga or dvi on the motherboard.

omg I've had the same issue and now I can't even reinstall windows! Have been experiencing this on and off for about a year now. System Restore seemed to help but the issue just occured again a couple of days ago and I didn't have a restore point so decided to do a fresh install of windows. Now I can't even install windows properly, freezes on "Getting Devices Ready" followed by a Black Screen. Not sure which component is faulty. I think it's time I upgrade to Coffeelake.

Am using z77 sabertooth and i7 3770k btw.

If it's confirmed a motherboard issue i'd need to check the warranty status of my z77 sabertooth since it came with 5 years warranty. Wonder what the rma procedure would be like since z77 is obsolete already.

In that case, they may no longer have parts to fix the motherboard. Even if they do, the cost of repair is not going to be cheap either.

check ur hdd/ssd health through hdsentinel/crystaldiskinfo,
run memtest and check ur rams to see if there are any error
just find a replacement board to solve ur issue if all the above have been tested?

i somehow manage to finish install window after i take off my gpu and use mb gpu..

so,does it mean my gpu is the problem?
