yes definitely
in fact, id expect the MP to pay more than the cost.

imagine if u r an MP and go to a wedding banquet and only giving a 100 angbao?!?!

wth right?

Cost got nothing to do with it. I expect him to do what they preach aka affordable pricing.

For a MP, they earn at least $13,000 a month. So should use the estimated AngBao spending for the top 100 people in their income bracket, and factor a market discount.

Then cap the market discount to only two times (aka discount if he goes two times, after that full price). Since he is so popular, he should already be paying at the full price.

The actual AngBao price should be quoted by the couples, according to the above formula with the actual calculation a national secret.

If he finds the figure too high, he can pay by installment through a loan provided by his bank saving with an (above bank rate) interest charged.

i help u correct ur statement.

better dun ask for discount when buying things nextime if u hv a potential conflict of interest.
eg..
NEA officers asking for cheaper price, CRA officers asking for MBS lower requiirement for member card access, Custom officers asking for duty free price + discount, or any procurement officers asking for further discount for personal purchase

these actions are just asking for trouble.

customs officers getting duty free cigs is happening all the time everyday.
you know when they ask you to discard the cigs if you dun wanna pay duty+tax?
what do you think happen to the discarded cigs?

What do you think? Or rather, what do you know? There is a big difference between thinking and knowing.

I am sure you can learn a lot of things which you need to... You cannot even tell which agency Singapore Customs belongs to. (psst... it's called Ministry of Finance) :s13:

edit:
Thanks, how long were you in mha to make a statement like that?

Then tell us for what? What's your point?

edit:
consider this:
1) if it is true and you don't tell, you are indirectly abetting corruption;
2) if it is not true, you are wasting people's time and belittling our intelligence in order to try to feel superior.

so which one is it?

sg is a corruption-free country.
our civil servants are paid enough to prevent corruption.
so,
