It's something I noticed that is implemented in stock forums such as stocktwits.com.

Whereby I make a post in a thread. If the thread gets long quickly, it maybe tedious to go through everything. But sometimes, a member may raise a pertinent point or decide to engage me in the thread itself. I may not notice that the member quoted me and made a reply.

If there is a notification on a member that has quoted you, you can zoom into that member's dialogue and then reply to him immediately. it would help to make the chat more personalized as well on an individual level if not as a value-added to current thread topics.

Hope u understand what i'm trying to put across.

I have seen this feature on other forums, e.g. mycarforum, and agree it is very useful. :)

Dear Member,

Thank you for the useful suggestion. We are exploring the likelihood of implementing this.

is it possible to view all the entries under Who Quoted Me, rather than just the latest ten ?

might occasionally miss out certain ones if they get pushed down and subsequent out.

Excellent suggestion. It should be possible. I can understand the appeal of having >10 for Chitchat threads that are fast moving.
Believe the admin is looking at these suggestions.

Is this about having a pop-up bubble or something like that when you are being quoted ?

All means more space.

More space means more costs. :s13:

You mean server space ?

Dormant accounts and images probably take up as much, if not more.

Ok server space is probably wrong.

But to fetch ALL the quotes will have an impact on the server load ?

Maybe increase from 10 to 20 ?

can you make it easier for users to see? for example

User CP: 1 new post quotes

so that we dont have to click on User CP to see if anyone has quoted us

Excellent idea. I'm sure the tech team will incorporate suitable suggestions where possible.
