Ownself operate ownself? Lol.

Fair point. Perhaps so. Bankers have more time. More lifestyle balance. Glam. Surgeons are always too busy to have a life.

Anyway my career life is almost done. Too late for me. I am tired. I want to call it a day soon.
Me too. I am already semi retired. The irony is I am making more money from working part time now than working full time. So I am enjoying this.
I didn't influence my chewren in any. 2 dotters chose banking. I wish them luck.
They choose well. I wish my kids would choose finance. They are stupid not to .
For you, you made enough already rah. Let your chewren stand on their own feet.

Yeah. I don't really bother anymore. Live the rest of my life how I want.

BTC i think still quite a long way to go.
i believe it's gonna keep bleeding all the way down to $40k or even lower like when it slowly bled from $20k back down to 3k about 8 years ago....i will probably start buying some at this level.

PMs....if you zoom out....gold and silver are both still up alot in the month of Jan....long term is still going to up....near term....still need to see how other exchanges adjust to the COMEX prices after the beating they took from the margin raise.

quick update after approx 12 hours of running it.

so far looking good, will further enhance the Algo.

sorry if this ditract from the main Algo.
do allow me to further experiment this for an opportunity to better the Algo, if it fails, back to drawing block for integration into Algo. if it passes, will be incorp to the Algo.

cumulation of experience to speed track this, Monday gold open will be an opportunity of a lifetime to test it out given the massive volitility

moment of truth soon, looking forward to trading the account back up (if the hedgealgo works as intended)

chatgpt suggests the name to be called Tri-Regime Rebalancer (TTR)

free margin has $200 (which allows for a super leverage 0.08 lots of xauusd to be played around with.

if this can trade up (it will be quite worthy of a praise!)

very aggressive trading style so far, did multiple updates to the hedge algo today.

still making as the trade ongoings

https://www.myfxbook.com/portfolio/pepperstone-algo-demo-tester/11909985

for the demo algo hedge

for algo acc up 2k ish but still not in the clear, need to get enough free margin going to see the hedged positions gap tighten (so that eventually its one or other, aka antropic state which will close the entire position (dont see it happening now but will be interesting to see market close / market open gap)

demo Algo doing well.

the big mathematical question now is how to deleverage over time.

doing massive Algo brainstorming to achieve the state

quick update,

making process using the atari breakout as an reference.

each time as the chart (or ball) bounces between the upper and lower wals (underwater positions) it imbalances by 1 unit

so eg.

10 - 10
10 - 9
9 - 9
9 - 8
8 - 8
8 - 7
until 1-0

which will reach antropic state.

As a physical gold holder, the mindset and rationale is different from someone who invests/trade. We bought something that requires manual effort to buy/sell. We aren't intending to sell it in weeks/months/years. Likely we will keep for decades or next generation. The ones I'm more worried are the leveraged ones.
I'm using leverage.
+28% for silver in just two days. Closed my trade and going to hibernate till the next opportunity.

Long silver at $78 in my itchy fingers/throwaway CFD account.
Making money is easy. It's learning to keep the money after it's made that's hard, i.e. cutting losses quickly.

I'm waiting to see Cashflow202 program his algo to start cutting losses quickly.

The hedging algo does part of it by limiting losses and stoploss build in.

Let's continue experimenting

You might want to update your P/L on page 1( YTD, one year, since inception), P/L is the only way to track progress.

quick update.

sorry for the thread posts being a little bold these past few days.

it's a combination of brain fog, and the brain computing / simulating all kinds of trading strategies to solve this interesting hedging strategy.

things are looking in control now and I am thinking of how to further incentivize trade in-between the gaps while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

so far one strategy looks promising is following the trend.

so that when it's in a higher timeframe trend, it will weight eg. bull trend, long opens more than short opens vice versa.

using few features like rsi to evaluate entry.
