Wow, very nice pause of video at the right moment.

Happened to me before, ganchiong spider go jam front brake first this is what happened when I try to avoid another cyclist. End up I sprained my elbow need go x-ray. :cautious:

I believe he's trying to chiong the red light, hence the high speed.
The red man is already out + high speed suggest he's trying to speed across before the red light turns green.

But he didn't expect the green light to turn so fast so he ebrake.

This is a case of trying to dash across but failed

Judging from his size and height and based on the circumference of his wheels and brake force and inertia, at the same time his bicycle size and pedal size, not forgetting the pavement unevenness to the question, the speed of traffic lights to his eye level , his body biology and bone structure and his deltoid / scapula and triceps brachii, all these should be consider into the equation.

I can infer that u are being lenient by saying those who u feel lenient

One of the few times I hope cyclist is ok. Yup he tried to beat the lights, but he acknowledged it’s his fault. Not like a lot of other cyclists act like whole world fault except themselves.

Hope this also serves as a lesson to him that safety is the most important factor

always press the back brakes first. how come so many press the front brakes first?
