WCH on weekdays, cannot cycle safely after 7am one lah. Same goes to other roads, highways like Nicoll, and viaducts like Serangoon / Bartley / Lornie.
Esp this time of the year......you see in the video, for the direction towards city, they are nearly invisible and just like mere shilouettes against the similarly dark asphalt. Note, with the glare from the sun, in reality it really is worse than in the video with limited dynamic range. The usual bicycle tail lights do not work here, you'd need specific day time visible lights, which then become obnoxiously bright when you get off from this viaduct and down to Keppel Road near Cantonment or CBD area.
Still, best to choose your timing carefully, best case scenario.
Rule of thumb - if the lane next to you has constant flow of traffic, it is time to get off the road and safer to "limp back" or to the kopitiam or take PCNs/pavements etc. Dont time and do your RTI or long group rides under such road conditions.
