Partially did spent money drawing some bicycle lane on the roads. But still not enough. Maybe every sunday convert all roads to only allow emergency vehicles and bicycles.
No lah, drawing on park connector is half f***

He heng that the bus gave him over 2m clearance (min 1.5m as per regulations).

I dont know why cyclists like to cycle during more peak busy hours at these areas with high levels of heavy vehicles like Jurong/Tuas areas.....Neo Tiew Sungei Kadut etc.
Never mind their level of experience / competency in bike handling, riding on the roads and interaction with other road users.
And like quite a fair number of them do not even have sufficient rear lights visibility during daylight hours, never mind the big areas of blindspots of heavy vehicles. And then their bikes are black/dark and they wear dark jerseys etc.

Esp during rainy days and wet roads (drain covers, masking the potholes etc).

He heng that the bus gave him at least 3m clearance (min 1.5m as per regulations).

Read some comments here. It's interesting that some cyclists see this as passing too close, ie less than 1.5m distance bt vehicle and the cyclist.

Remember, the height of the road to helmet is already like 1.8m.

If these folks see this as passing too close, i think you all better dont cycle already....dont twist black into white and white into black.

BTW, fellow road cyclist here.

i think its a road surface that they covered up recently
i see like he went over a bump...
but you could be right that its a pothole

they want everything to be perfect for their cycling
else they blame road, blame bus, blame weather or any other

Cyclist lucky to be alive becos bus kept to its lane and was travelling safely
lucky he can at least spend this x'mas with family
knowing that his pure road skill is sub par... throw face even

Cyclist is alive and no serious injury, simply because the bus drive gave over 2m clearance to him. If it's just 1.5m clearance as per regulations, high chance his legs kena the rear tyre already.

See my post above. Over 2m clearance when cyclist at the alighting door area of the bus.
