There is a queue. Y u want to cut queue? If someone is in front of you can you push him out of the queue? You should ask properly if you have manners and the choice to give way is still the other party’s.

You want to give way then give way and don’t complain. I don’t want to give way also my choice and you have no rights to say anything. Pedestrians giving way when cyclists ring at them is sending the message that pedestrians must give way to cyclists when they ring and poor upbringing cyclists do not need to ask properly.

Nope i disagree.. ring is to signal got people behind want to overtake.. pedestrian purposely blocking the whole path then is poor upbringing.. selfish inconsiderate.. if the pedestrian walk on one side then don't even need to ring.. and he don't even need to "give way" cause he is not blocking the path..

It's a shared path. Both have equal rights of way.. if cyclist is in the middle of the path cycling very slowly blocking the path of other user.. then he is also consider selfish and inconsiderate.. regardless of whether is pedestrian or cyclist.

I don't know about you.. but the same goes to vehicle horning.. if the car in front is on the middle of the two lane road.. do you think the car behind horning is rude?? Do you think the car behind need to ask nicely and say please??

Or is it the car in front hogging the road is wrong??

Car follow traffic rules and will get punished for infringement. Got traffic rules for cyclists and pedestrians? Letting cyclists past is good will from pedestrians and they don’t even bother asking nicely. If you are rude and you think you are entitled to preferential treatment this is poor upbringing.

Well it's the same logic and scenario.. just because got rules and infringement then you follow.. if not you just ignore and says all good those are poor upbringing.. hahahaha

Everyday I take the train towards Tuas and Tuas to JE, the trains are very pack. Can say 80% of the commuters are foreigners.... Imagine 10mil population, Singaporeans have to give way to them liao. The transport minister should try taking the train during peak period and see the actual situation instead of relying information from his sources.

Sometimes act blur live longer.

If you depend on good will of others, the least you can do is to be polite if you have good upbringing. Ringing is not polite unless you are disabled either physically or intellectually and cannot talk like normal human beings.

I agree.. the cyclist definitely have to improve on their politeness to the pedestrian.. they should thank whenever they passby them.. just hope the people don't purposely go blocked the path which is not nice..

It is not purposely block. It is choose not to give way when not asked nicely. Good will should be given and not demanded.

Most people will just keep to the side la... Unless got two person walking together then no choice.. have to slow down and "ring" nicely.. usually if ring earlier will have time to react and shift.. if by the time you can ask nicely it's too late already..

This kind needs to be deal with.. regardless how needs to be careful with riding.. knocked down people is wrong liao.. it's dangerous riding..

anyway they are not supposed to be on shared path also.. they can only ride on pcn or road..

That is why we need more pedestrians only path to call out cyclists. If they ride on pedestrians only path they should be punished by law. Pedestrians can report using one service app for authorities to penalise cyclists.
