A lot of those using PMAs are not very old. They are Gen X (Xoomers) who are in their 50s nia. They are just lazy to walk, not that they cannot walk. And they like to speed on their PMA and expect peepur to give way to them.

"One leg doesn't wear shoe" is because the leg has been amputated from the knee. A common cause for that is diabetes. With the whole lower leg gone, there is no foot to wear the other shoe (or actually sandal or slipper).
