Thought got new speed limit coming soon is it 6kmh
New LTA rules for Personal Mobility Aids (PMAs), effective 1 June 2026 in Singapore, require mobility scooter users to have a Certificate of Medical Need, restrict speed to 6km/h (down from 10km/h), and impose size/weight limits (70cm wide, 120cm long, 150cm high, 300kg laden). Mandatory registration for mobility scooters begins in phases, with retailers registering new devices from 1 June 2026 and existing users from mid-2027

That's why PMA/PMD should not take MRT.
MRT lift are not design to transport PMA/PMD.
Sometimes I with my mum see like that either wait or just take escalator.
Ya. All too big sizes PMAs.

Tot the new regulations about age entitle and need to provide medical letter then can purchased??
New laws haven't kick in.

If their pma suddenly kaboom im sure they all can run can walk
Kaboom them die then they can even fly 😮

Think only see one that is legit, that is the wheel chair right at the front. The rest those 3 wheels with the big battery ones, they seems like PMA looks-alike. Wonder why are they still on the road given the many 'strict' rulings. :s22:
New law havent kick in

Maybe need to build those slope escalators for wheels
Slope ok already, no need slope escalators

We could all need all these pma/pmd in the future for ourselves. Let's be more accommodative to our seniors. We will all grow old eventually.
Some really need one is ok. Its those that abuses it. Somemore all buy until so big size and even zhng to go fast.

So within now and June 2027, we will still contiue to see those illegal ones. I can say, currently there are close to 70% are illegal. And most are able low ses users.

That is why we need stricter laws to prevent misuse of such device. And let those really need one to ride safely. Disable and people with mobility issues should not ride that fast, as their normally very slow in reaction. PMA also not meant to ferry people in the first place.

One accident is too many. We need safer walking paths. Not peple speeding witheir PMA around.

Many of current users are mostly idiots and gangs. This is case one of many cases.

Just like probationary drivers, there should be a "plate" to indicate authorised or approved users. Otherwise any tom dick and harry (especially entitled old folks) will start creating social chaos.
