Actually not surprising if Ke is really close to DPP, as Lai has been dropping support due to his family house issues. And it's a known fact that DPP supporters rather vote for Ke P than KMT and majority of Ke supporters were the youths who voted for Cai

to be fair to 33, you need to be extremely charismatic to win in a place where both blue and green are very established and desperately want to win. even ah-pek barely scrapped through his last mayoral elections and would have lost if there was no last min swing towards him from green voters to prevent blue from taking power.
