This doesn't inspire confidence to the voters.

Hou should be the one taking charge in front of Zhu and Ma to show voters who is the leader of KMT and possibly the president.

But the longer they drag this merger, the more uncertainty there is. People will be more interested to know about the policies, not about bickering over such issues.

bottom line is Hou is just a presidential candidate and not KMT president. But at least now he is taking the front line to have this press conference may be try to lift up his leadership image.

A presidential candidate is contesting to be the leader of a country. He cannot be the one being pushed around and behaving like a puppet.

Worse still, this merger isn't even proposed nor led by him.

Very bad impression. Not a leader for sure. People will wonder if taiwan ever encounter issues during his presidency, will he go running back to Zhu and Ma and beg for advice?

in fact, the script(the PE candidates)alrdy known a few months back, now just wayang wayang until the nomination day
