Anything wrong with WP becoming the ruling party one day? If they have the calibre, why not?

The opposition today are held to harsher standards than PAP. If opp manage to thrive under such standards, they will be even more solid than PAP.

So, why not?

that's a different conversation topic and it's too premature to talk about it.

For this election, WP's vision is to prevent PAP's super-majority by having enough opposition MPs.

Will they shift goalpost and change their vision should that vision is achieved in the future ? only time will tell.

PPP chairman Derrick Sim’s Facebook account disabled
https://www.straitstimes.com/live-singapore-election-nomination-day-2025

People’s Power Party (PPP) chairman Derrick Sim’s Facebook account has been disabled, with all his posts taken down.
The candidate for Tampines GRC told ST that he was suddenly logged out of his account on Friday.

Although he eventually managed to regain access after completing a verification process, he found that all of his previous content, including posts and pages, had been erased.

He has since filed a report to Facebook owner Meta.

Even me as voter see singapore political climate so challenging.

How to envision Oppo Parties gaining 32-33 seats! 1/3 of 97 seats now.

They have to conquer more GRCs.. which in turn makes it even more challenging.

Before I start a thread, I would like to ask something about polling.

I have an ePoll card in my Singpass. What is the exact purpose of this card? Is it to allow me to enter the polling station?

Important question: Am I casting my vote on paper or digitally? If digitally, is our vote still secret?

Health Minister and People's Action Party (PAP) candidate for Sembawang GRC Ong Ye Kung has criticised the opposition for suggesting what he calls "irresponsible policies", paid for by raising wealth tax and using more of the reserves. He was speaking at a PAP rally for Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC.

Proves to sg…
Reduce GST back to 7%
reverse all the property taxes all the absd for properties n reverse all HDB bto back to one standard price. Abolish prime plus n standard idiotic differential
Most of all, tell them to take 50% pay cut …
Will or can they?

it's a good thing that it is challenging. It means that when the opposition won seats from PAP, it shows that they have truly convinced the voters to take risk and vote against the incumbent. It also means that PAP has truly f-ed up that even when odds greatly favour them, they still lose.

I believe that Singapore voters are mostly level-headed and look at the bigger picture before deciding which party they want to represent them in parliament.

Debate on University fees should be free for ”Singaporeans”. More quota for Singaporeans. Funded by taxpayers.

The Parents at that age are almost at 55-60? Many need to support their aging parents and children’s university fees. Sandwiched.
