why use all these drugs...ish there no 'normal' vape anymore?

First make normal vape with just nicotine to make people switch think is safe version of cigarettes.

When get widely accepted, time to play liao, add all sort of rubbish to get people addicted and sell much higher price now and people addicted still go buy

sinkieland chooses to ban vape is very correct ... but I think enforcement need to be more wide spread to catch those who vape and those who distribute ...

A few months ago, I already saw with my own eyes in public. Young girl about 17yo cannot stand properly at the smoking area. Whole body was trembling, legs giving way.

People were staring at her don’t know what’s wrong, but it’s quite obvious to me she’s high on piaopiao.

HONG KONG – With a tap on their phones, teenagers in Hong Kong are using messaging apps to buy drugs that they inhale by way of vaping.

Chris, a 19-year-old vocational student, told The Straits Times: “At the time, I thought I was just vaping.

“It was only afterwards that I found out it was called ‘space oil’.”

He was first introduced to space oil by a friend in January 2024. It sparked the beginning of a months-long downward spiral into drug abuse.

“We’d usually pool our orders and buy a hundred capsules at a time through a dealer on WhatsApp,” said Chris, who wanted to be known only by his first name.

His account is one among hundreds of young Hong Kongers who have found themselves hooked on the new recreational drug.

The drug’s accessibility and affordability appeal to the youth, as dealers promote it on social media, communicate through messaging apps and make it easy for cash-strapped students to buy it in small amounts, social workers and experts told ST.

it the concoction of the vape juice

and i believe other than tip off
there are very little ways to identify how ppl smuggle the pods in
vapers can vape in discreet since the smell is not offending.
Even non smokers are not offended. Leaving little to discriminate vaping.

These all lead to the influx of such abuse.
Of course, trend and curiosity often start this whole BS.
