Ahhhh ok. Didnt know u are into unit trust too tho.....

I have always been investing in unit trusts. 30% of my current investment are in unit trusts with 70% in equities. Some unit trusts have certain allocations that I like which is not like typical ETF. I am shifting more to equities in future so should be 20% UT, 80% equities.

yes my RM kept tagging me to PB status though i want to drop out to avoid the $50 fall below fee, i finally managed to drop out last week. No loss since i get to keep the VI card for the PP and only incur 0.02% more for trading, which i have switched to moomoo anyway
hi. am thinking of getting out from SCB priority. still have some shares within.
so it is possible to keep to priority status? but frankly i agree moomoo etc. have changed their advantage; and scb trading app sux.

u want get out of SCB priority yet keep priority status? if u referring to VI, yes can keep the 4 lounge visit per year till PP expire a year later. Should drop out and rejoin a year later for rewards

i am enjoying moomoo now, beside the free comm the app is so much better, not to mention all the free GE, BB shares with quests

i just thought i put my $ elsewhere, since the PP is kind of useless as can't travel, and the sc apps oso not so useful.

i rotate around UOB privilege, HSBC premier, DBST and citigold for welcome rewards, each has thier pros and con, like uob give $250 referral and can keep deposit funds for 3mths at 0.5% PA, citigold has zero interest but give $900 + $600 upfront, hsbc premier give $400 upfront plus 0.7% on deposits, DBST has neither but give free commission for first few trades..if keen can always reach out to share the referral

for UOB Privi, my most recent participation met with some hiccup

i FAST top up n signed the participation form at the Branch on a Sat (the promo terms require that top up n form must be on the same day !)

somehow UOB delayed the processing of my promo registration til 2 days later, and so I got 2 days less of bonus interest

first time appeal, rejected

re-read TnC, appealed second time, quoted the specific term, then they finally acceded ... really frustrating

I think they see the value date. Or maybe backend only process form on monday since sat is non work day. I wouldn't be able to notice the loss of 2d int..not many will go count every month too much effort

shortfall was $5.50, good for upsized chicken rice
yah, value date is fair.
my top up value date was definitely on Sat morning but they initially claimed promo based on date when enrolment is processed !

usually once i submit the form interest will start on day itself as long as cheque is deposited before 330pm, and there is a back end team to process the enrollment form on same day.

i usually skip saturday because cheque can only be cleared on monday and there will be 2d of int loss...nowadays all 5d work week there is no ops or backend team in CBP to process the form on a saturday

so technically they not wrong also unless the officer at front desk told u otherwise.

Any good local banks to recommend for privilege/priority banking? Currently with SCB, Citigold and HSBC. Looking to have a local bank and will probably close off SCB. Previously tried UOB but it’s the worst bank for any form of wealth management. They should really just stick to mass-market retail.

Mine not cheque.
It was a FAST transfer on Sat morning, n value dated same day.
They did not say due to Value date, but used "enrollment date" as the reason to try to brush me off, until I pointed out TnC.

the tnc in the enrollment form states value date and not processing date? actually i dont scrutinize the form T&C and also dont check the interest awarded every month, must give you credit for that.

i only just eyeball then scan and see if the estimated amt is correct, if every account check till so detail think i no need to sleep :ROFLMAO:

Can share which interesting unit trust as available? I know some like United global quality equity fund quite solid in terms of returns. It can even beat S&P500 and MSCI World index. I think these are the type of funds you need.

UOB is the no1 ****! Unless you are a lau ah Pek that don't mind their kind of primitive system. I would say DBS and OCBC are somewhat better. I can do a DBS treasures/ OCBC referral to share the referral rewards. Why leave SCB? Actually I am thinking of joining SCB due to its online trading platform (no min for most markets) but decided to go with interactive brokers. I don't have a lot of good experience with SCB also.

Schroder Asian growth fund, top holdings include TSMC, Samsung, Tencent, alibaba, MTK, AIA, HDFC bank, ICICI bank. A good mix of tech and financials.

Anyone with SCB priority holding the blue VI card? Did you request your RM to sign for you or they auto give it to you? Am a SCB priority holding other CC with them but when request to get the VI Blue am not qualified?
Seriously? Lol

Only reason is to get the PP not that I can use it now other than that nothing to shout about this card. So sick of this thought of just moving out all my funds and shares to other place.

Planning to leave SCB as I find their investment options and service damn bad. Have u tried IBKR for ur brokerage needs? I previously was on SCB online trading platform too but switched as IBKR is way cheaper. 0.08% compared to SCB 0.18%. Otherwise u can consider Citigold - 0.12%.
