do note under the Referral Program :

"The Referee shall not participate in any SGD Time Deposit Promotion under the new relationship before he/she receives the Citibank Welcome Programme reward."

also, the extra 1k on 250k AUM for 12 mths works out to be 0.8% pa - probably not attractive.

but the 1.5% is valid for new Citigold clients without referral

read again, there are also terms that say "This Promotion is not valid with other promotions etc " ... so not 100% sure can get Welcome Rewards AND 1.5% term deposit or not, even if dont get Referral fee

putting in citigold private client is not wise..because time deposit is not counted as qualifed AUM so u lose out on opportunity costs and u earn negligible interest for e referral fee

better to put in dbs treasures private client..got $6800+ $200 taka vouchers for 3 months..which is around 1.9% PA...or if you get someone to refer u get $1K which can be split

Not strict. I only have about $100k cash but I was holding a $4M mortgage with them till recently.
