You are under 24/7. If your unit never state which day is your off day or rest day, you will needs to report to camp every day until you ORD.

No one reports to camp on the weekend unless they got duty.

Weepya, we already advice you what maybe the possibility that your unit charge you for AWOL.

If you did nothing wrong (Unit did not required you to get your MC to endorsed by MO, You always update your unit your MC status and act according to their instruction, Report to camp on time such as reporting time is 8am and cannot be reporting at 8.05am, Did not go anywhere without a valid reason or questionable act like report to camp at 8am but have breakfast with GF at 7am while still on MC status), then you should not be worry that they charge you cause they do not have a case.

Ive never fail to report to them my status. So its not viable.

Everyone will know their book in and out (date and time for workday, off day and rest day). It is your responsible to check with your commander cause your work schedule maybe different from others.

This mean your unit have the right to schedule your rest day on Mon & Tue and Sat & Sun is your work day. Whether any real work is another thing. For example even Rifleman can standby at Bunk and also take over COS when he want to go toilet.

Or your unit can always confine you without letting you book out on weekend for whatever reason as long as your unit provide foods for you which include combat ration too.

A lot of misinformation in this thread.

An MC, in the context of SAF alone, is merely a formal medical opinion. The decision to grant medical leave is the prerogative of the unit commander, i.e. the CO.

For the most part, MCs are recognized to be almost synonymous with medical leave. However, the CO still has every right to withhold/revoke medical leave if he deems fit. This is not the same as revoking an MC. If a CO decides to do so, then he will be liable for any damages/injuries that arise as a result of deviating from medical opinion.

Prolonged MC requires a medical review or board (depending on duration) to assess fitness prior to resumption of training/duties. This is not for the purpose of endorsing or rejecting an MC.

Again, it is the prerogative of the unit commander to decide if he wants the serviceman to return to camp for medical review prior to consumption/completion of the MC.

So short answer to your question: yes, medical leave can be declined by the unit commander at any point in time, whether before or after consumption.

Read this again:

They are valid as medical opinions. But that is a completely separate matter from the decision to grant medical leave.

As others have pointed out, if one indeed has a genuine illness, one has nothing to fear.

Maybe MC was used very loosely/interchangeably with ML.

So just want to understand a bit, so you are saying that CO cannot revoke “MC”, but he/she can withhold/revoke medical leave?

There seems to be one thing TS doesn’t want to do.

TS doesn’t want to find out why his superior revoke his Medical leave, and keep asking people to speculate here.

Being charged does not necessarily mean you will be found guilty. If all your documents are in order, you have observed the necessary protocols and you have been genuine, you have nothing to fear.

If you feel that your case has been handled inappropriately, then the proper protocol is to either bring it up the chain of command, or via the feedback unit. If these avenues have been exhausted, then you can consider seeking help from your MP.

Beyond this, it is pointless to speculate further on an online forum.

Correct. Only the issuing doctor (or his superior, if in a public hospital) can revoke the MC. The MC after all represents the doctor's professional opinion on the serviceman fitness for duty. The CO cannot revoke an opinion, but he can choose not to defer to it.

MC and ML are often (wrongly) used interchangeably, but in situations like these precision in language is important.

What do you mean (his superior, at a public hospital) ?
