my god that 580 super price...
but too high end for me.. i am looking for 560 or something around 100sgd..

To tell the truth ,this isn't the a attractive price for gtx 580 since its a reference model @2011 and so many newer cards r so cheap now.

The 7950 is a much better deal at $160. If you are looking for a 560, you can get a second-hand 560 for about $60 or 560 Ti for about $80.

I am now using a HD 6870. Will the EVA GTX 580 a good and cost effective upgrade for me?

Not even high end by today's standard. Just similar to HD 7870/R9-270/R9-270X nia with a TDP of over 240W. :s22:

You NV fanboi or something? If the 580 is already "very high" for you, then the 7950 will "blow your mind away". :vijayadmin:

Just get the 7950. $10 more for a better, quieter and cooler card. Or 7870 for the same performance as 580 but quieter and cooler.

btw the 7870 is a ghz edition , its performance is close to the normal 7950.. i would get the 7870, just few frame lesser but with better cooling.

:s22::s22::s22:

The 7870 itself at stock is alr 1GHz, there's nothing special about "GHz edition" for the 7870. Performance to the 7950 is NOT close. Only during launch period it was close due to unoptimised drivers
