Corsair, NZXT or Phanteks Case?

Hunting for full window casing. Shortlisted a few. Any owners care to review build quality? Thanks!

Corsair 400C, Obdsidan 450D
NZXT H440, S340
phanteks Enthoo Pro M Acrylic

Corsair 400C seems good but there is the issue of the questionable front panel where ppl are reporting the clips snapping..

Any user experience?

I was in your shoes before and shortlisted most of the same cases that you listed. However after much consideration I webt with a Phanteks Enthoo Pro and never had any regrets. Build quality, packaging and the ease of assembly in a Phanteks case makes diy a pleasure.

If you are worried about dust than the M Acrylic is not the one you should be aiming for.

Maybe Fractal Design R5 will suit your requirement if you want to have HDD cage system that can holds up to eight 3.5” or 2.5” drives.

Using a corsair 400C, was deciding this or the NZXT H440. Bought the 400C at $150 from t258jgn. Case is good, no front panel clip snapping for me. Only negative(?) is really really compact lol my avexir ram blocked my rad if top mount so I put it infront instead. Overall I'd say $150 400C is good for the price tag, probably except the silly plastic shroud for PSU that keeps hitting an ATX mobo

Currently using Phantek Enthoo Evolv ATX (non-tempered glass version). A really good casing to work with. Killer looks as well

I would go for Define S if you never like all those massive HDD cages...


But for Pantek yes the tempered glasses kills in look. But how is the dust for the casing btw?

can't really remember, but as far as i can recall the front panels felt pretty solid and came up fairly fine. slightly tight but not until really must force it out.

One thing to note though, 400c legit compact so things like rad might get a little tight inside. Cable management is a little on the tougher side also in my opinion. The biggest issue is just the psu shroud will always sort of get blocked by an atx board when putting in, sometimes will jam and requires a little force to push the shrouds in. Need to take care of the front panel cables too if not the psu shroud will choke the cables

You don't have to change casing everytime they introduce new interface. You can either get a front bay bracket if your casing allows, or a rear bracket. These will need to be plugged to the internal headers on your motherboard.

Usually there is a work around. The chassis is just a chassis. The connections through the front can be changed. It is a cables connectors which if you are handy enough, you can replace the entire cables with the usb 2.0 to usb 3.0.
