Nope, it still doesn’t justify your profit of 310 k over 10 years.

Wa you really ....... What more you want me to show before you understand.

First sub-total is sources of 'income' or what were credited into the CPF accounts. My maths poor but not like that :s13:

The next sub-total is the various deductions against CPF accounts, followed by housing instalments paid net of refunds.

The last sub-total is various credits and debits to the CPF accounts

The grand total is the CPF balances as at (date).

The Investments is the net inflows i.e. inflows less outflows from CPFIA. In other word, this is part of the profit from investments returned to CPF. What's left in CPFIA (in the form of shares held) is the profit not yet transferred back to CPF.

Now clearer?

Too much emphasis on wealth instead of cash flow .. as dividend investor I'm more interested in trying to increase passive income. Maybe some have small amount in cpf because they buy sti ETF n collect 3%+ dividend

First, I never specify over 10 years. Second, why need to justify. Showing that the profit is in the account that made up the balance at the end not good enough?

May be you fail to understand because the movements in your CPF accounts are simple and you can't figure out what going on with mine :s13:

Pic showed 185k as net inflows from investments i.e. what you returned to cpf is more than what you took out That's the profit. But if it's negative, it means CPF fund has gone out for investments, and in such case, then one would need more info to know whether it is profit or loss on investments. Example if there is net outflow from CPF to CPFIA of say $10k but the CPFIA shows market value of $15k, then there is unrealised gain of $5k plus whatever cash balance in CPFIA. But if the market value is only $8k, then on disposal only $8k would return to CPF against $10k taken out.

well they are still somewhat related...

as the price of a stock will go down when they cant keep up with the dividends...

Means what?

Myself sometimes also wonder how come cpf interest is 361k and profit from cpf shares is 301k and yet cpf oa is 294k only at end of 2017 :s13: without taking into account that there is mandatory contribution from work.

Nevermind. It will reach there either sooner or later.

My interest did not take into account interest of $4,434 earned from my CPFIA, and interest of $13,754 on OA transferred to my father's RA from 2013 to 2017.

Actually I just wonder how big is your original capital size.

Towards later stage, the interest keep piling up, so it is easier to hit higher interest.

Don't wonder. It doesn't help as basically interest on based on the balances you have in your cpf accounts. Just consider whether or not it's worth to increase your cpf balances. If you have 1m in SA, interest would be at least 40k pa

If I remember correctly, you can't transfer OA to MA even when SA hit FRS.

From CPF website and for above 55:

***If you have not met your Basic Healthcare Sum (BHS), you may apply to transfer the savings in your Special and/or Ordinary Account(s) to your MediSave Account (MA), up to your BHS. To do so, you have to be aged 55 and above and have the Full Retirement Sum (FRS) or Basic Retirement Sum (BRS) with sufficient property charge/pledge in your Retirement Account.
