Why not? Close the investment account, dispose the investment and VC the proceed to CPF. But a damn hassle and limited way of withdrawing part of OA without touching SA.

Yes, I am the one. You advised me to call CPF. The following year, I made the same mistake and had to call again. This year, to be safe, I use paynow QR bit by bit to make sure.

Above 55 below 60, I started VC only in 2018, that was when I made that mistake. Only know about SA shielding after I was 55.

Seems like only option left is using CPF as high interest savings accounts and increasing SA through VC or increasing RA to ERS.Or work on spouse accounts, if still not 55.

Already transfered 60K to spouse's SA. And made another mistake, should have use cash(if it is possible) instead of transfer from my OA to spouse's SA.

imaginary ? when you are 30-40 years old, definitely feels that way.

but he is already 52 years old, it definitely isn't "imaginary" any more. unless minimum sum somehow is revised to 400k in 3 years' time.

There is no notice that the road has been closed, though I think it should be closed immediately unless there is vested interest in letting it open.

Why would the shielding be stopped? CPF’s main mantra is to have the FRS when one turns 55. Doesn’t matter where the monies come from.

Similar when taking HDB loan, there was lots of people “shielding” the OA so that HDB won’t wipe out the OA.

So at 55, what is left in the RA and SA acc? RA FRS, SA 90k?
I have few years to reach 55, still considering how much should I left in the CPF. Thanks.
