Hearing no objections, I assume that those CPF members celebrating their 55th birthdays in January (and shielding SA funds across their birthdays) are uniquely well positioned to exploit the "hack within a hack" that I've described, to "launder" some OA dollars to jack up the effective interest rate.

Cool. Congratulations to those with January birthdays.

no one is obligated to reply to any post, be it here or your "proprietary" thread, be it correct or wrong.

people can assume anything they want, believe anything they want, even if there is reply or no reply.

believe or rely anything in this hwz forum at your own risk. No reply does not mean correct or wrong. do your own due diligence. :s13:

(eg I dun participate in your "proprietary" thread, does not mean all your recommendations to forumers who post there are correct or wrong! :s13: )

The Primary 3-level "I've got a secret" antics are tiresome and silly.

There aren't any secrets here.

yes no secret, just some people lack the knowledge or know-how, like not understanding how CPF withdrawals are made, that's the "secret" :s13:

different people have different views

by the way, I still have not "expose" the error u made in one of the post, since nobody seems to be interested :s13:

there are a few other experts who still have not come here, I better stop here before I kena from admin :s13:

"I've got a secret, everybody. Look at me, look at me."

Nobody is impressed. I haven't been impressed since about age 8, but some people are a little slower to develop. ;)

If you've got something to say, say it. Otherwise, don't waste our time.

Haha... too bad this thread did not exist several years earlier, otherwise I can ask my dad to try it out! Kudos to u for coming up with this. Heh.

In this case, the VC really have to be VC, rather then withdrawing from CPF then redeposit.

Cold hard cash, no two ways.......

After 55, still got chance to withdraw 35% of OA above first 20k without touching SA.

Probably will activate this option.

Outstanding mortgage is still high, close to 800k.
Current SA is close to 200k.

Hi henrylbh, I'm also interested in this. Can elaborate please? Only one time withdrawal after 55, or anytime like on-demand funds subject to the limits you mentioned?

Hi, can I help top up sibling sa and medisave account using cash? He's not in spore. Thanks.
Or is it better to use the money to buy term plan with yearly premium for 16yr and monthly payout 21 yrs later for 10 yrs?

Sure, you can, as long as your sibling is a citizen or Singapore PR (i.e. CPF member).

What are you trying to accomplish?

It’s hard to imagine that idea would be better than most reasonable investments you could make.

Wrong liao just admit, nobody is 100% knowledgeable about everything. Don't shiny things and keep insisting your method is the best.

OK, if that’s your goal, that’s straightforward enough: just make deposits.

Regarding the term plan, what's ur opinion?
What’s the specific carrier and product?

No, that’s exactly what isn’t happening. If anybody finds a factual error, then quote what you disagree with and say exactly what you disagree with it. Easy.

How many times have I posted on your factual error (only quoted 2 above in red), dear forumers pls help me count!

Your brain is blocked! U just refuse to accept your mistake, refuse to read my posts, refuse to try to understand it, refuse to do your research from the CPF website on the full CPF withdrawals, refuse to post the complete CPF withdrawal rules here which will answer your own questions!

U expect me to do it for you, to spoon feed u! What a joke! I vomit blood! :s13:

And what happened to the 16 years of monthly payouts? ;)

You’re quite missing the point.

“You” is not the correct pronoun. Money has literally zero value to corpses, and that’s you in this particular discussion, a dead body. Your survivor, your heir, your beneficiary — that’s who receives whatever residual wealth there is from your estate. You don’t get anything that’s left over. You cannot take any of it with you.

Language matters here; let’s be more careful and precise. Kelhot2001 is being quite sloppy in pronoun/noun choice, and it’s not helpful.

U pass nasty remarks at his written comments in another thread?

He is much better than u, he is hardworking, start from scratch, I give him hints, he did thorough research on the CPFB website rules to understand, post the rules and even able to help others with better explanations in some cases!

Do pray tell.....

It's similar to hacking SA using CPFIS-SA but on a limited scope for those above 55.

After meeting FRS at 55, the of withdrawal of excess is SA followed by OA.

If you have fairly large OA and want to leave SA to the last, you can invest OA up to 35% of investible limit. Then close CPFIS. Whatever you have invested will not return to CPF, whether disposed or not.

Repeat the process (by re-opening CPFIS) until amount in OA cannot be invested.

You can also liquidate the investment and re-invest the proceed as voluntary contribution to CPF. In this way, part of 'OA' can get into SA. But that portion going into SA gets smaller with each subsequent age band.
