CPU cooler recommendation.

Not looking for aio as I have an phanteks escplise p300 with an strix gpu.. Total not possible to fit an 240 aio.. Not interested in 120 aio..

Would cryorig H7 quad lumi or noctua nh-u12s be a better choice?
On my 2700x with quad lumi load temp is another 72c. Would nh-u12s be better? Or any other recommendations within the same league?

That doesn't matter. It's the cfm that mattes and how the air can flow over the parts.

The issue is your P300. It has poor airflow characteristics and a restricted air intake.

You change what cooler or fans also no difference, your case are build with restricted airflow, just open side case, play some game and you will see how much temp it drops.

Saw on Dynacore price list CM MasterLiquid Lite 120 Cooler @ $58.. very good deal, cheaper than Air cooler.

Honestly.. I tried.. Only drop by 2-3c.. Only when under air conditioning it dropped more.

Managed to get stable overclock on my old 3770k with the H7 running stable for months now. No issues and temperatures coming from a custom loop with 2 radiators are quite comparable unless I went for very high overclocks...

the prism cooler bundled with your 2700x is almost as good as 120mm single tower coolers. you should had gone with dual tower coolers like the nh-d15 or the chunky thermalright coolers.

both should be quite similar. unless u dont like the fancy led or u like noctua fan colors, then get noctua.

if not 60 degree for your chip isn't anything to worried about at all..

The issue now is seems like H7 QL seems to have similar temps.. Well i had considered larger cooler but my case has a 160mm limits..

I do understand p300 may have limited intakes but it's not that bad as it's seems.. On the p300 with 7600k with 4.7 OC @ 1.27 with h7 ql it's <80c.

go take a look at thermalright and be quiet, they have a couple of coolers within your height limit.

edit: there's a nh-d15 model that is within your height limit too.

seem about right. wraith prism temp vs single tower cooler.

anyway why do you even needs better cooler? If you are going to take part of ocing competition, i could understand, but those temp you are getting are normal and pretty good for average usage for gaming or productivity work.

anything cooler u will needs to go 240 rad or dual tower cooler.
