CPU Temp hits 90 c

My CPU temp hits 90 o'c and is considered very high. I would like some advice's on how can i decrease the temp back to normal. Attached is a picture of my current temp.

My current specs:
AMD RYZEN 5 2600 CPU
ASROCK B450 PRO 4 (AM4) MAINBOARD
G.SKILL FLARE X 3200MHZ 8GB X2PCS
SANDISK PLUS SERIES 480GB 2.5 SSD
TOSHIBA 2TB 7200RPM 3.5 SATA 3 HDD
SEAGATE 1TB HDD
GALAX GTX 1650 SUPER 4GB EX 1-CLICK
FSP HYPER K 600W 80+PLUS
COOLER MASTER BOX TD500 RGB ATX CASING

Are you using stock cooler? Change it to a cheap air cooler like deepcool gammax or coolermaster hyper 212. This helps a lot

- Have you updated BIOS?
- Have you installed the AMD Ryzen Chipset drivers and selected AMD Ryzen balanced power plan?
- What are you doing when the temp peaks?

yes this is a stock cooler designed by AMD. I have removed and applied a new thermal paste by arctic but the temperature remained the same.

My friend recommend me to get two cooler fans to be installed to drive the heat away. Therefore, i would also like to know what model should i be looking for based on my pc specs.

no playing of games / no downloading, just normal surfing the internet.

Just normal surfing can spike the temp to 90.

Normal surfing spike to 90 is crazy. It could be that your mounting is incorrect and not making contact.

Yes, install the AMD chipset drivers.

For your BIOS, go to the manufacturer website and go to your models page. Got instructions. Nobody uses a bootable USB anymore. Most have a Windows app that can update also.

have an asrock b550 board that still can update via USB only leh.

Speccy is not the most accurate monitoring software from my experience. Try using HWINFO64 instead. When you open the app, click on "sensors-only" then run, scroll down until you find "CPU(Tctl/Tdie)"

This is crazy, after downloading the AMD chipset drivers, It spikes even higher.

Noted, trying out the software now.

Btw, my cpu is not heated at all when i touched the surroundings.

Stop using Speccy. It's an obsolete tool. Use Ryzen Master.

Something is no correct. even with the Stock Fan the CPU will not reach 98C.
Because your Photo showed the mobo only at 38C which is very good. Harddsik 44C and GPU at 51C . All seem to be well and normal. So the Casing temp should be less than 40C in my opinion.
What causes the CPU then?
Well you try to touch the metal heat sink of the CPU fan to feel the temp. But careful of the spinning Fan.
I think you have not put the CPU heatsink and fan properly.
Redo it again. remember to paste just enough heatsink paste and make sure it is seated properly.

Or you can try using a 16 inches table fan to blow at the "open" casing to see if the cpu still at high temp. Or it would to you have setted the CPU fan speed to silent mode in the Bios. Try set it to tubro mode. and chk the Rpm of the cpu fan in the mobo setting.

Still should not go that high even on silent.

Ok, i will try it out again. But i don feel the heat from the CPU at all. i am using arctic thermal paste.
