CPU temps above 80 degrees?

To me 90 degrees is too high, you can cook an egg. I'm using Coolermaster Hyper 212 led cpu cooler and my cpu is between 35-40 degrees (loaded).

You are world champion liao. Your hyper 212 can perform better than any other 240mm aio in the market.

I remember reading somewhere or watched on YT that the stock cooler that came with the 3600 is bad. Only the Wraith Prism stock cooler that came with 3700x and above are worth considering.

My CPU idle temps at around mid 40s to mid 50s.

I have 2 intake fans at the front, and 1 exhaust at the back and at the top. I'm quite sure the fans are setup correctly. Logo on fan facing outwards = exhaust.

I'm using the stock thermal paste that came with the CPU, so I don't think the issue is due to thermal paste application.

If that's the case, should I also get some special thermal paste? I've never tried aftermarket coolers before

That is incorrect and a poor assumption. The stock cooler can maintain a 70-75c temperature under load:

And this is in line with the systems I have built as well.

Above 80 indicates bad contact, insufficient mounting pressure, or weird fan setup.

Checked out the reviews done by them over the same time period.

Their ambient is 20-25'C.
SG ambient ish 30-35'C.

So in SG, a 80-85'C load temp is actually normal.
But hitting 90'C should be due to other compounding issues.

In non-aircon, yup. But even then I've not had a 3600 go over 75c yet.

Low 40s is OK. 50s for idle is quite high.

can play around with cpu fan setting... for me i set mine @ min 50% to maintain low 40s at idle if in silent mode will be in high 40s... since i don't hear any fan noise, i leave it @ 50%.

Cinebench finishes fast, heat never goes up. Aida64 Prime95 I usually use for stability testing, I'll check next time.
